The Standard Starts In-A-Cup Series

Since our residents all have busy schedules, The Standard at New Brunswick team sought out a way to provide meals on the go. Our “Meals-In-A-Cup” series has been a fun way to be creative and provide easy to prepare meals for our residents in a rush.

“Breakfast-In-A-Cup” was the first of our series where we hosted Baker and Pastry Manager Christina Banks live on our Instagram story demonstrating on how to make Banana French Toast and an egg omelet. The Standard at New Brunswick team provided all needed ingredients in one of our Standard cups. We received seventeen resident sign ups out of a maximum hold of twenty. We found this event to be a good start to our series and even received two-hundred and nineteen views on Instagram from this one episode.

The next series was “Dessert-In-A-Cup.” The Standard at New Brunswick team provided a live Instagram demo of our staff creating the perfect sundae in our Clubhouse. Residents were provided with coupons to get ingredients at a nearby grocer.

To up the excitement, we decided to make this into a contest. Residents were instructed to send photos of their sundaes and we posted polls on our Instagram stories so followers could vote. The winning resident received thirty-two votes and won a $25 gift card through our resident incentive program, Community Rewards. Fifteen residents competed and our IG live received 240 views.

To finish our series with a bang, we plan to do “Drinks-In-A-Cup” for a July 4th celebration on our rooftop terrace. Our signup sheets are always full and IG engagement continues to go up. We love hosting our residents and creating different ways for resident involvement.
